ECA: "Fans can't be taken for granted, or we risk losing them" (Andrea Agnelli)

"Fans cannot be taken for granted, and we have to deliver the best possible competition for them, or we risk losing them. That's why I welcome the conversations that we as ECA have had for the development of the game - both on and off the pitch - with UEFA," said Andrea Agnelli, chairman of the ECA, during the body's 25^th general assembly, the second to be held by video-conference due to the pandemic, on 08/03/2021.

The resumption of football after the Covid-19 crisis, the proposed reforms of UEFA competitions, the international match calendar, and the regulations of the transfer system were the main topics discussed by the 184 ECA member clubs during the general assembly.

"We need to have the courage and boldness to approach the moment we are living with strong progressive views, not with the conservatism that has always distinguished our industry," stated Andrea Agnelli.
