Bundesliga/2.Bundesliga: Derbystar (Select Sport) extends as official ball supplier until 2025-26

Derbystar, a German manufacturer of footballs and sports equipment belonging to the Danish group Select Sport, has extended its partnership with the DFL as the official ball supplier of the Bundesliga, 2.Bundesliga and Supercup for at least four additional seasons (2022-2026), announced the German body on 11/03/2021.

Derbystar succeeded adidas as the official ball supplier of the German competitions from 2018-19. "Derbystar was already represented in the German first division in the 1970s - initially through numerous cooperations with clubs, before Derbysar balls were used in all 306 Bundesliga matches in the 1979-80 season," explained the Deutsche Fußball Liga GmbH.

Derbystar has also provided the DFB with the official ball for the DFB-Pokal since 2018-19. The brand of the Select Sport group is also the official Eredivisie ball for the 2006-2022 cycle.
