"We would like to inform you that Hugues Ouvrard, managing director for business, has decided to leave Olympique de Marseille (Ligue 1 Uber Eats)," announced the club on 12/03/2021.

Hugues Ouvrard joined OM in July 2020, from Xbox France (Microsoft), where he held the position of managing director since August 2013. His departure comes just two weeks after the appointment of Pablo Longoria as club president, replacing Jacques-Henri Eyraud, who has joined the supervisory board.

These various changes at the head of the Marseille club should make it possible to put an end to the conflict between the supporters groups and the now ex-management of the club, marked in particular by the sending, on 15/02/2021, of a letter with regard to them signed by Hugues Ouvrard in response to the acts of violence committed at the Robert-Louis-Dreyfus training centere by some of their members (on 30/01/2021).
