Chelsea FC: "Proud of London" campaign to support local businesses for the club's 116^th anniversary

To mark its 116^th anniversary, Chelsea FC (Premier League) has launched "Proud of London", a campaign aimed at providing visibility to local businesses in order to celebrate "real Londoners who have shown incredible resilience, creativity and entrepreneurship during such a testing year," announced the club on 10/02/2021.

Since 12/03/2021, Chelsea have been "inviting small businesses with a London postcode to apply for free advertising space on matchdays, including a branded Instagram Story. With a digital community of hundreds of millions of people around the world, small London companies will gain exposure like never before via this valuable advertising space that is usually only available to sponsorship partners or businesses buying one of our digital collaborations," said the club.

The club has also produced a short film (see below) featuring former player Joe Cole (ENG) and seven local businesses which have "adapted their output to support key workers, helped their communities, and inspired through art."
