SL Benfica: WME Sports put in charge of finding title sponsors for the stadium and youth academy

WME Sports, the sports branch of the WME agency, which is owned by Endeavor, has signed an exclusive commercial partnership with SL Benfica (Liga NOS), in order to conduct the search for title sponsors for two of the club's major facilities: its stadium, the "Estádio do Sport Lisboa e Benfica" (65,000 capacity) and the "Benfica Youth Academy," announced the Portuguese club on 16/03/2021.

SL Benfica is looking for a partner willing to commit itself as a title sponsor of its stadium for a period of between 10 to 20 years. As part of the agreement, WME Sports will also provide information on both the stadium and youth academy including "valuation, data and insights powered by Endeavor Analytics."

The search for partners will be led by Ryan Norys, vice-president of sports talent and property sales at WME, and will be structured on a two-year basis with no guarantees or minimum payments, according to today's specialised media. WME Sports will work solely on a commission basis, set at industry standard rates of approximately 15%, according to media reports.
