"Football's popularity means the game can serve as a massive social force. It has the power to help people -- men and women, young and old -- overcome problems and face the future with greater confidence," stated the European confederation.

UEFA has supported a football program in the Zaatari camp since September 2013. Teams are made up, train, and face off in tournaments. Jordanian managers and UEFA coordinators work together to lead players and train coaches. The project also includes the development of football activities for the local population and the provision of equipment (balls, shoes, etc.).
