Premier League: Thorn Lighting partners with Sunderland and plans to renovate lighting

The British company Thorn Lighting has become an official partner of Sunderland (Premier League) through the end of the 2015-16 season and will renovate its stadium lighting, the club announced on 12/06/2014.

Thorn Lighting, owned by Austrian lighting group Zumtobel, will equip the Stadium of Light (capacity 48,300) with a new lighting system. The contract allows Thorn Lighting to use Sunderland's players' images in its advertising campaigns and in the launch of future products and services. The company, as an official sponsor, will get stadium LED advertising.

"Thorn Lighting Limited are industry leaders in delivering lighting solutions for outdoor sports venues and the new system being installed at the Stadium of Light will improve the experience for both our players and supporters," said Gary Hutchinson, sales director of Sunderland, on 12/06/2014.
