NFL: TV rights to Fox, Amazon, CBS, ESPN / ABC, and NBC for $105bn over 11 years (2023-2033)

The e-commerce group Amazon, The Walt Disney Company (pay-TV ESPN / free-TV ABC), and US (primarily) free-TV audiovisual groups CBS, Fox, and NBC have acquired the US TV rights to the NFL for 2023-2033, announced the North American League on 18/03/2021. The total amount of this agreement would be $105bn (€85.4bn) for these 11 seasons, or an average of $9.5bn per season, according to American media. This represents an increase of 77% compared to the previous cycle (see below).

• Amazon Prime Video (VoD platform) will become the exclusive broadcaster of "Thursday Night Football", these rights were previously shared with Fox (see below).
• CBS (free-TV) will keep the Sunday afternoon games and broadcast them simultaneously on Paramount+, its OTT streaming service.
• ESPN (pay-TV) will continue to broadcast "Monday Night Football" and will also broadcast an exclusive game played abroad (typically London or Mexico City). ESPN+ (OTT) can simultaneously stream all games on ABC (free-TV) and ESPN.
