Leicester City FC: a turnover of £150m (-16%) and net loss of £60.1m in 2019-20

Leicester City FC (Premier League) have posted a turnover of £150m (or €166.5m as of 31/05/2020) for the financial year 2020 (01/06/2019 to 31/05/2020), down 16% compared to the financial year 2019 (£178.4m/€201.1m), announced the English club on 19/03/2021.

"The interruption of the 2019-20 season in March significantly affected both costs and revenue during the final three months of the season, as well as the financial period in which they are accounted. Principal costs such as the majority of the club's contribution to the Premier League's broadcaster rebate, were borne in the accounts before the year-end, while the extension of the season's conclusion (in June 2020) has meant almost a quarter of Premier League revenues, prize money and sponsorship revenue will be not recognised as income until the 2020-21 financial year," said Leicester City.
