Barclays FA Women's Super League: Sky Sports and BBC acquire UK TV rights (2021-2024)

The British public broadcaster BBC and the British pay-TV operator Sky (Sky Sports pay-TV package) have acquired the UK broadcasting rights to the Barclays FA Women's Super League (WSL) for the 2021-2024 cycle, announced The FA on 22/03/2021.

• Sky replaces the UK pay-TV provider BT Sport as the main broadcaster of the competition, and will show up to 44 matches (35 minimum) per season on Sky Sports. Some matches will be shown simultaneously on Sky Sports Mix and Sky One. Sky Group is expected to pay just under £10m (€11.6m) per season, according to specialised media reports. This figure will rise to £15m (€17.45m) when production costs and additional marketing expenses are included.
• The BBC will broadcast up to 22 matches (18 minimum) per season on the free-to-air channels BBC One and BBC Two.
