LaLiga Santander: Villarreal CF to open an academy in Houston (Texas), the club's 7^th in the USA

Villarreal CF (LaLiga Santander) are to open an academy in Houston, Texas, their 7^th in the United States, announced the Spanish club on 26/03/2021.

"Villarreal Houston Academy will be aimed at boys and girls under 12 who want to learn about football under the Yellow Submarine's (nickname of the club) leading methodology. For children interested in joining the newest international academy, there will be tryouts in May and June," said the club.

This is Villarreal CF's 12^th international academy, having already opened six in the United States (in Annandale, Lincoln, San Antonio, Fayetteville, New York, Las Vegas), two in Australia (Melbourne, Sydney), one in Montreal (CAN), one in Mexico City (MEX) and one in Halland (SWE). The club also has four affiliated schools in Seoul (KOR), Kashima (JPN), Rosario (ARG) and Andorra la Vella (AND).
