Riot Games/LEC: Erste Group (AUT) and Sparkassen (GER), partners of the 2021 Spring Split

Erste Group Bank, an Austrian banking group, has extended its partnership with Riot Games and become a main partner of the LEC Spring Split 2021, according to the US video game publisher on 26/03/2021.

As part of the agreement with Erste Group Bank, Sparkassen, the group's German savings bank, also becomes an official partner of the LEC Spring Split 2021. "We're proud to announce that Erste Group will once again support the LEC Playoffs as a main partner and that Germany's Sparkassen are joining the partnership, supporting LEC's presence in the German market," said Riot Games.

Erste Group Bank entered esports by becoming an official partner of the final of the LEC Summer Split 2020. "Erste Group is a strong supporter of esports, and is focused on making the scene accessible to players throughout Central and Eastern Europe. Sparkassen will also develop a tailored campaign for German League of Legends fans, bringing back a well-known face from the esports scene," explained Riot Games, which provided details of Erste Group's 2020 activations programme (see below).
