Manchester United Foundation: 4,500 kit items donated by adidas to distribute to school kids

adidas, the official equipment supplier of Manchester United FC (Premier League), has donated 4,500 kit items to the club's Foundation, which will then distribute them to 63 partner schools and colleges, announced the English club on 29/03/2021.

"The donation, which included a variety of United shirts, tracksuits and coats, went towards the continued effort to support the mental and physical wellbeing of young people across the local community, rewarding their efforts in school and providing another boost ahead of their return to the pitch. In what has been a difficult year for schoolchildren, the boxes went some way to celebrate those who have shown improved behaviour, kindness and hard work, either at home or at school during lockdown," explained the club.

This initiative is part of the "adidas Football Collective" programme, which the German equipment manufacturer set up to support European amateur football clubs in November 2020 (see below).
