Premier League: Marathonbet becomes West Ham United's official betting operator

The English online betting operator Marathonbet has become an official partner of West Ham United (13^th in Premier League, 2013-14) beginning with the 2014-15 season and to last over the "long-term", the club from the eastern suburbs of London announced, without more details, on 18/06/2014. The amount of the deal has not been disclosed. Marathonbet will replace the online betting operator Filipino Sbobet, whose contract expired at the end of the 2013-14 season.

Marathonbet will lend its name to an annual pre-season West Ham match, to be renamed the Marathonbet Cup, in which the club's former players face off with its current team (date TBD). This operator will mainly get visibility on the LED screens of Boleyn Ground stadium (capacity 35,016).
