England/The FA: a turnover of £335m (-28.1%) and operating profit of £9.8m (-84.4%) in 2019-20

"During the 2019-20 season (from 01/08/2019 to 31/07/2020), we generated a total turnover of £335m (€370m on 31/07/2020)," announced The FA on 25/03/2021. This figure represents a 28.1% decrease versus a turnover of £466m (€508m on 31/07/2019) in 2018-19.

The Football Association posted an operating profit of £9.8m (€10.8m) in 2019-20, down 84.4% from £62.8m (€68.5m) in 2018-19.

"The organisation was on track to deliver a record investment into the game before the impact of the global pandemic towards the end of the 2019-20 financial year, which meant the organisation had to significantly reduce its expenditure and investment," said The FA.

"Events were played behind closed doors, which greatly affected event day and Club Wembley (the company that offers season tickets to The FA-run stadium) revenue, and the rescheduling of four home England matches and both the men's and women's FA Cup Finals led to deferring broadcast and sponsorship income," added The Football Association.
