Women's World Cup 2023: opening match in Auckland (New Zealand), final in Sydney (Australia)

The opening match of the 2023 Women's World Cup will be played at Eden Park in Auckland (New Zealand) and the final at Stadium Australia in Sydney (Australia), announced FIFA on 31/03/2021, presenting the list of 9 cities and 10 stadiums (see below) where the competition will be held.

Australia and New Zealand will each host a semi-final. The full match schedule for the 2023 Women's World Cup, the first edition to feature 32 teams, will be announced during the course of 2021, according to the International Federation.

"Building on the incredible success of France 2019 both on and off the pitch, the FIFA Women's World Cup 2023 and 9 Host Cities across Australia and New Zealand will not only showcase the world's very best players, but will also provide a powerful platform to unite and inspire people, transform lives and create a lasting legacy for women’s football in Australia and New Zealand and around the world," said Gianni Infantino, FIFA president.
