LaLiga Santander: AliExpress (e-commerce), back shirt sponsor of Sevilla FC in 2020-21

AliExpress, an e-commerce platform belonging to Alibaba Group (CHN), has become a partner and back shirt sponsor of Sevilla FC (LaLiga Santander) for the end of the 2020-21 season, announced the Spanish club on 02/04/2021.

AliExpress has been given the status of global partner, the second level in Sevilla FC's sponsorship hierarchy. As part of the agreement, AliExpress becomes the club's "e-commerce and marketplace partner" and will display its logo on signage at the Estadio Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán as well as on the club's communication media.

This partnership is similar to that of AliExpress' agreement with Olympique Lyonnais (Ligue 1 Uber Eats) to appear as the club's sleeve sponsor until the end of the 2020-21 season, signed on 20/03/2021. These partnerships are part of a market testing strategy. "AliExpress came to test the French market at the end of the season (test & learn approach).
