SS Lazio: a turnover of €106.7m (+34%) and net loss of €115,000 for the first half of 2020-21

SS Lazio (Serie A TIM) have posted a turnover of €106.7m for the first half of the 2020-21 financial year (from 01/07 to 31/12/2020), up 34.3% on the first six months of the 2019-20 financial year (€70.1m), according to the club after the approval of its mid-season financial report (document available to download), on 30/03/2021.

This increase in revenue for the Roman club can be explained by two factors:
• The shift of the sporting season beyond the close of the 2019-20 financial year as the Serie A TIM season, suspended in March, eventually resumed in June and ended in early August 2020. The revenues related to the end of the 2019-20 season, notably TV rights, therefore appear in the accounts for the first half of the 2020-21 financial year.
• The club's participation in the 2020-21 Champions League group stage (2^nd in Group F, Lazio also qualified for the last 16 of the competition, and were eventually eliminated by FC Bayern Munich, Bundesliga).
