LaLiga Santander: Villarreal CF opens an academy in Krasnodar (Russia), its 13^th outside Spain

Villarreal CF (LaLiga Santander) is opening an academy in Krasnodar, its first in Russia and its 13^th outside Spain, announced the club on 06/04/2021.

"The newly-established Villarreal Krasnodar Academy will be aimed at children aged 5 to 16 who want to develop as footballers under the Yellows' (nickname of the club) innovative methodology. The academy will be hosting camps this June (2021)," said the club.

Villarreal CF has already opened seven football schools in the United States (Annandale, Lincoln, San Antonio, Fayetteville, New York, Las Vegas and Houston), two in Australia (Melbourne and Sydney), one in Canada (Montreal), one in Mexico (Mexico) and one in Sweden (Halland).

The club also has four affiliated schools in Seoul (KOR), Kashima (JPN), Rosario (ARG) and Andorra la Vella (AND).

• "We will provide our students with a happy and fulfilling childhood, together with the opportunity to develop as a footballer. That is something you're not going to find anywhere else in this region," said Arsen Krhyrkhyrian, a director at the Villarreal Krasnodar Academy.
