Manchester City: a turnover of £478.4m (-11%) and a net loss of £126m in 2019-20

Manchester City FC (Premier League) posted a turnover (excluding capital gains on player transfers) of £478.4m (€545.6m as of 30/06/2020) for the financial year 2019-20 (01/07/2019 to 30/06/2020), down 11% compared to the financial year 2018-19 (£535.2m/€597m as of 30/06/2019), according to the club owned by the holding company City Football Group, on 06/04/2021.

This decline in revenue is primarily due to the postponement of Premier League (Matchday 38 on 26/07/2020), Champions League (quarter-final elimination in August 2020) and The Emirates FA Cup (semi-final elimination in July 2020) matches beyond the close of the financial year. "Ticket and all stadium related sales ceased (from mid-March 2020), season cards were refunded, and broadcasting revenues were reduced following rebates given by the Premier League to broadcasters. At the same time the club continued to meet its full financial commitments, in addition to providing support to staff and the local community," said Manchester City.
