2020-21 Champions League (quarter-final first legs): TV audiences in Spain and Italy

Please find in the infographics below the audiences figures for Champions League matches in Germany, Spain and Italy recorded by News Tank Football since the 2018-19 season, the first of the 2018-2021 cycle.

• The Italian private audiovisual group Mediaset, which acquired in Italy, under sublicense from the pay-TV operator Sky Italia, the rights to broadcast one game per matchday of the Champions League over the 2019-2021 cycle, is the only free-to-air broadcaster (excluding the final) of the Champions League in the Top 5 countries (Germany, Spain, France, Italy, United Kingdom). The Italian public broadcaster RAI broadcast one free-to-air game per matchday during the 2018-19 season.

• In Germany, the pay-TV group Sky Deutschland and the OTT platform DAZN share the broadcasting rights to the competition, acquired on 13/06/2017.

• In Spain, the audiovisual group Mediapro acquired the exclusive rights to the UEFA Champions League and Europa League on 19/07/2017, and then resold them in full to the telecoms group Telefonica on 28/06/2018.
