esports: Team Vitality and RC Strasbourg Alsace launch joint team to compete in the eLigue 1

The French esports organisation Team Vitality and RC Strasbourg Alsace (Ligue 1 Uber Eats) have teamed up to form a FIFA 21 (EA Sports) team that will compete in 2021 eLigue 1, the LFP's professional esports competition, announced the club on 09/04/2021. "This is the first time we have launched an esports team," confirmed the club to News Tank Football the same day.

"This partnership symbolizes RC Strasbourg Alsace's desire to invest in esports. Team Vitality is delighted to be able to support the club in this new adventure by providing its expertise. RC Strasbourg Alsace intends to build a competitive and attractive project for its supporters as well as its local partners while becoming one of the reference Ligue 1 clubs in esports," explained the club.

"In addition to the competitive dimension inherent in eLigue 1, Team Vitality and RC Strasbourg Alsace will set up a media campaign around the championship to allow the fans of both clubs to follow the adventures of their joint representatives closely," added RC Strasbourg Alsace.
