Parma Calcio: new Tardini Stadium project presented in the same location as the current stadium

Parma Calcio 1913 (Serie A TIM) presented the construction project for its new stadium on 06/04/2021. It will be located in the same location as the current club stadium, the Stadio Ennio Tardini (22,300 capacity, owned by the municipality of Parma).

"The new Tardini will be a futuristic stadium, which will stand as an example of innovation for the decades to come. It shall be a multifunctional facility that may be used by the community throughout the whole week, not just on matchday. It will therefore provide a new home for Parma and its fans but also a multipurpose space for the entirety of the local community," said Parma Calcio.

The plans for the new enclosure - which will be submitted to the local authorities in the coming weeks - were produced by the Italian architectural firm Studio Zoppini. Parma Calcio has not announced a date for the launch of construction on the stadium, the cost of which should amount to around €80m, for a capacity maintained at 22,000 seats, according to several Italian media outlets.
