TikTok: number of followers of the 75 European Top 5 clubs with an official account (April 2021)

With 8.2 million followers, FC Barcelona (LaLiga Santander) is the most popular European club on the Chinese social network TikTok, ahead of Paris Saint-Germain (Ligue 1 Uber Eats, 6.1 million) and Real Madrid CF (LaLiga Santander, 4.8 million), according to data recorded by News Tank Football on 01/04/2021.

The Parisian club and Barça posted the best growth in absolute value with an additional 500,000 and 400,000 fans respectively since 10/03/2021.

Aston Villa FC (Premier League) posted the best percentage growth over the period (excluding accounts with less than 10,000 followers) with a 23.1% increase in followers, ahead of Tottenham Hotspur FC (Premier League, +16.7%) and Borussia Dortmund (Bundesliga, +13.6%).

75 of the 98 clubs (76.5%) in the European Top 5 have an official account on TikTok:
• 20 out of 20 (100%) in LaLiga Santander.
• 18 out of 20 (90%) in the Premier League.
• 15 out of 20 (75%) in Ligue 1 Uber Eats.
• 11 out of 18 (61.1%) in the Bundesliga.
• 11 out of 20 (55%) in the Serie A TIM.
