Eredivisie: 1,200-7,500 spectators authorised depending on stadium for a test from 23-25/04/2021

The Government of the Netherlands has authorised a test for the return of spectators to stadiums with limited capacity for Matchday 30 of the Eredivisie, scheduled for 23-25/04/2021, announced the Dutch League on 06/04/2021. The championship, like the Keuken Kampioen Divisie (second division) which will also be welcoming fans (Matchday 36, 30/04/2021), is one of the competitions or sporting events for which a limited number of spectators will be admitted on the condition that they present a negative test for Covid-19 beforehand.

The FC Emmen - Heracles Almelo match, for example, will have a capacity of up to 1,200 (the lowest capacity of the nine matches), Feyenoord Rotterdam - V Vitesse Arnhem up to 6,500 and AFC Ajax- AZ Alkmaar 7,500 (the highest capacity). In the Keuken Kampioen Divisie, the capacity will range from 380 to 1,950.

This pilot scheme, which is the result of an exchange between the government, the KNVB and the local authorities, will continue until the end of the season if it proves successful at the end of April 2021.
