The American pay-TV bouquet ESPN broadcast an NBA game (Philadelphia Sixers - Brooklyn Nets; 123-117) with an "alternate presentation fully driven by sports betting content" for the first time on the linear channel ESPN 2 and on ESPN+ (OTT), on 14/04/2021. The ESPN channel also offered a traditional broadcast.

ESPN already has a "Daily Wager" programme and relied on the presenters and consultants of that programme to provide alternative commentary on the game.

Various predictions and odds picks were made before and during the game as well as at half-time. They were either about the match or about bets on the season (champion team, player of the season etc.).
