LFP: jerseys from 17 Ligue 1 clubs integrated into a Captain Tsubasa video game

Bandai Namco Entertainment Europe, a regional subsidiary of the Japanese video game developer, has launched a collaboration with the French Professional Football League and integrates the jerseys of 17 2020-21 Ligue 1 Uber Eats clubs into its game Captain Tsubasa: Rise of New Champions , announced the leeague on 16/04/2021. This video game is based on the eponymous manga, Olive and Tom in French version, a work of fiction in the world of football.

"The LFP is very happy to be associated with an inter-generational brand like Captain Tsubasa, with whom it shares common values such as the promotion of young talents. This partnership offers the LFP interesting opportunities to recruit and engage new fans through contests or content posted on digital platforms," explained the French League. PSG, O. Lyonnais, O. de Marseille are the three clubs not to take part in this licensing agreement.

Separate licensing agreements have already been signed between holders of Captain Tsubasa product rights and FC Barcelona (LaLiga Santander), the FFF, and even PSG (see below).
