Bundesliga: VfL Wolfsburg becomes away shirt sponsor of Chattanooga FC (USA, 3^rd division)

VfL Wolfsburg (Bundesliga) extended its partnership with Chattanooga FC (National Independent Soccer Association, American 3^rd division) and becomes away shirt sponsor of the American club from the 2021 season, announced the German club on 15/04/2021.

The city of Chattanooga (Tennessee, USA) is twinned with Wolfsburg (Lower Saxony, GER) and hosts one of the production sites of the German car manufacturer Volkswagen, main partner and majority shareholder of VfL Wolfsburg.

"In addition to this shirt sponsorship model, which is unprecedented in the world, the cooperation agreement concluded between the two clubs in 2017 will be extended to two other key areas. First, from 2022, Chattanooga FC will again field a women's team on the pitch. VfL Wolfsburg will not only help rebuild this women's team, which was withdrawn from competition in 2018, but also play an active role in strategic planning and the development of other collaborations.
