SS Lazio: Contrader (tech) introduces telemetry and AI systems on player jerseys

Contrader, an Italian company specialising in technologies and in particular artificial intelligence (AI), has become a partner and back shirt sponsor of SS Lazio (Serie A TIM) from 2020-21 and until the end of 2021-22, announced the club on 17/04/2021.

This partnership with Contrader aims to include advanced real-time telemetry and artificial intelligence systems in the shirts and shorts of Lazio players. "How are we going to do it? Thanks to sensors placed in the uniforms, gloves, and shorts. Thanks to these instruments, we will be able to assess the physical, tactical, and psychological characteristics of each individual," explained Sabatino Autorino, president of Contrader.

To celebrate this new partnership, Contrader appeared as the main shirt sponsor (front side) of the Roman club for Matchday 31 of the Serie A TIM during the SS Lazio - Benevento Calcio match (5-3) on 18/04/2021. Since 2020-21, Contrader is also the main shirt sponsor of Pescara Calcio 1936 (Serie BKT).
