Super League: after the 6 English clubs, Atlético, Inter, AC Milan, Juventus are also backtracking

Club Atlético de Madrid (LaLiga Santander) and FC Inter Milan (Serie A TIM), and then also AC Milan and Juventus, four of the 12 major European clubs which had launched a European Super League project "governed by its founding clubs" on 18/04/2021, announce their withdrawal on 21/04/2021.

"Atletico Madrid took the decision this past Monday (19/04/2021) to join this project in response to circumstances that no longer exist today," said the Spanish club.

"We look forward to carry on working together with institutions and all stakeholders for the future of the sport we all love," said Inter Milan.

Arsenal FC, Chelsea FC, Liverpool FC, Manchester City FC, Manchester United FC, and Tottenham Hotspur FC, the six English clubs and founding members of the project, had all announced their withdrawal late on 20/04/2021.
