Heineken activated its partnership with UEFA and published a tweet accompanied by the hashtag #BetterTogether in order to support the European body against the Super League project, initially carried out by 12 major European clubs on 18/12/2021, announced the Dutch brewer on 21/04/2021.

For the occasion, Heineken changed its traditional slogan of prevention "Don't drink and drive" to "Don't drink & start a league". In this visual, Heineken also displays the words "proud sponsor of the Champions League since 1994". The group is committed to UEFA until the end of 2023-24.

Of the 12 founding clubs that formed the Super League on 18/04/2021, only the Spanish giants Real Madrid CF and FC Barcelona had not yet officially given up on the project, as of the morning of 22/04/2021.
