Ten Sports extends contract by three years for TV rights for European Cups on Indian subcontinent

Indian subcontinent pay channel Ten Sports, of the Ten Sports Network, has extended its TV rights for the UEFA Champions League and Europa League by three seasons, from 2015-16 to 2017-18, in an agreement reached with UEFA (Union of European Football Associations), the channel announced on 24/06/2014. Ten Sports has had these rights since 2006-07. The amount of the contract has not been disclosed.

This agreement covers India, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka. Ten Sports will broadcast 145 Champions League matches and 205 matches in the Europa League live and in HD each season (from qualifying rounds to the final). These matches will also be broadcast on the channel's website. In this region of the world, 140m households subscribe to Ten Sports.
