The Premier League has launched the "ePremier League China", the first event of its official esports competition organised outside the United Kingdom, in partnership with the Chinese internet services group Tencent, announced the English Professional League. The competition will be played on the video game FIFA Online 4 (EA Sports), a multi-player version derived from the FIFA sports simulation dedicated to the Chinese market.

The competition, which begins on 28/04/2021, will be offered in China on Tencent Sports (OTT), Tencent Video (VOD) and Tencent News (information), as well as on the streaming platforms Huya, Douyu and Yizhibo until the final played on 15/05/2021.

"Some of the best Chinese gamers on EA SPORTS FIFA Online 4 will represent all 20 Premier League clubs alongside hand-picked content creators and influencers," said the league.
