esports: Motorola Deutschland (telecoms), official supplier of RB Leipzig's RBLZ Gaming on FIFA

Motorola Deutschland, the German subsidiary of the telecommunications company owned by the Chinese group Lenovo, has extended its partnership with RB Leipzig (Bundesliga) and become the official supplier of the club's esports section, RBLZ Gaming, on 22/04/2021.

This agreement comes weeks after the announcement of the partnership between Motorola and RB Leipzig (03/04/2021). The smartphone manufacturer will now accompany RBLZ Gaming and its team in competitions played on the FIFA 21 video game (published by EA Sports), including the Virtual Bundesliga (VBL).

"Motorola will provide the RBLZ Gaming team with selected smartphones, as well as having the rights to both logos and names. Additionally, the two partners are planning on producing joint content pieces by which Motorola are looking to highlight people," said the German club.

RB Leipzig launched its esports section on 18/08/2017 before repositioning itself within the discipline with the creation of RBLZ Gaming on 07/09/2020. Only Nike, the club's equipment supplier, is listed as a partner of the esports team as of 23/04/2021.
