Euro 2020: Bilbao matches moved to Seville, Dublin matches to Saint Petersburg and Wembley

"The four Euro 2020 matches initially scheduled for Bilbao (ESP) will be played at Estadio La Cartuja in Seville (ESP). The three Group E matches scheduled for Dublin (IRL) are reassigned to the Saint Petersburg Stadium (RUS), which already hosts three Group B matches and a quarter-final. The Round of 16 scheduled in Dublin will be played at Wembley Stadium, London (ENG)," announced UEFA on 23/04/2021.

"The Executive Committee meeting by video-conference is informed of the confirmation by the local authorities that the four matches planned in Munich (Bavaria, GER) will be able to accommodate at least 14,500 spectators. The city of Munich is therefore confirmed as a site of Euro 2020," indicated the European body.

"A Euro 2020 behind closed doors is not an option. The number of fans admitted will depend on the measures taken in each country. Each of the 12 host cities must be able to guarantee the presence of fans during matches," said Aleksander Ceferin, UEFA president, previously on 16/03/2021, one year after the decision to postpone Euro 2020 to 2021 due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
