Tennis/Wimbledon: Gus Henderson appointed as commercial director effective from 01/08/2021

Gus Henderson has been appointed as the new commercial director of Wimbledon, according to the All England Lawn Tennis Club (AELTC), the organising body of the Grand Slam tournament, on 23/04/2021. His appointment will take effect on 01/08/2021, i.e. after the 2021 edition, scheduled from Monday 28/06 to Sunday 11/07/2021.

"As commercial director, he will be responsible for driving revenue growth in line with the values, brand vision and philosophy of the AELTC. This includes continuing to build and foster authentic partnerships, alongside the commercial exploitation of the marketing and brand vision for Wimbledon. He will work closely together with Alexandra Willis, who also takes up her role as the AELTC's communications & marketing director from 01/08/2021," explained the AELTC which, with these two appointments, will replace Mick Desmond, the body's commercial and media director, who will retire after Wimbledon 2021.
