NBA: ESPN and Marvel offering a thematic broadcast of the Warriors-Pelicans game (03/05/2021)

US pay-TV bouquet ESPN, in collaboration with the comic book publisher Marvel, is offering a special superhero-themed broadcast of the Golden State Warriors - New Orleans Pelicans NBA game on Monday, 03/05/2021 (kick-off at 19:30 US East Coast time, 01:30 CET D+1), on its linear channels ESPN2 and ESPN Deportes as well as on the OTT platform ESPN+, announced the US group on 23/04/2021.

"The latest development in Marvel and ESPN's long history of sports content collaboration, the telecast will integrate elements from an original Marvel story and iconic characters including Iron Man, Black Panther, Captain Marvel, Captain America, Black Widow, and Doctor Strange throughout the live game, including 3D virtual characters, custom graphics and animation packages," said the pay-TV group.

"Fans will be able to follow along as three star players from each team are put to the test, gaining Marvel Hero points for their achievements and performance during the game.
