Women's Champions League (2021-2025): new financial distribution model (€24m in 2021-22)

Significantly increased prize money for all participating clubs and solidarity payments (to be reinvested for development purposes) for the first time to all first division clubs of UEFA member associations entering teams in the Women's Champions League, are the two elements of UEFA's financial distribution model that should "help ensure the long-term sustainability of European women's football," said UEFA on 27/04/2021.

The Women's Champions League (which is changing format from 2021-22, see below) will redistribute a total of €24m from the 2021-22 season onwards, "more than four times greater than the current (2020-21) figure," according to the European body, which adopted the model at its executive committee meeting on 19/04/2021 to come into effect on 01/05/2021.

"According to initial estimates, each club taking part in the group stage will receive a minimum reward of €400,000 - approximately five times more than before in the Round of 16. The winner stands to earn up to €1.4m," said UEFA.
