Covid-19/NBA: Milwaukee Bucks vaccinate fans alongside game vs Brooklyn Nets

The Milwaukee Bucks NBA franchise offered all fans - aged 16 and over - with tickets to the game versus Brooklyn Nets (117 - 114), the opportunity to receive their first dose of the Pfizer-BioNTech Covid-19 vaccine free of charge, at the Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on Sunday 02/05/2021.

To allow fans to receive their dose of the vaccine, a mobile vaccination centre was set up near the Milwaukee Bucks' stadium in partnership with the city's Health Department. The centre was opened one and a half hours ahead of the game versus the Nets and closed after the final whistle.

"After fans receive their first vaccine dose on Sunday, Milwaukee Health Department officials will be on-site to schedule an appointment for the second dose to be administered at a future date. It is expected that the entire process on Sunday will take between 20-30 minutes for fans to receive the vaccine, which includes sign up, receiving the vaccine and a waiting period of approximately 15 minutes after the shot is administered," said the franchise prior to the game, on 27/04/2021.
