Premier League: Adidas extends contract with Sunderland AFC through 2019-20

Kit supplier Adidas (Germany) has extended its six-year contract with Sunderland AFC (14^th in Premier League in 2013-14) through 2019-20, the club announced on 26/06/2014. The amount has not been disclosed.

Adidas and Sunderland AFC have been partners since the 2012-13 season. They unveiled the club's away shirt on 26/06/2014. The home shirt will be unveiled in the coming weeks.

Since 1999, Sunderland has had six kit suppliers: Asics (1999-2000), Nike (2000-2004), Diadora (2004-05), Lonsdale (2005-2007), Umbro (2007-2012) and Adidas (2012 -2020).

Seven clubs in the Premier League will be equipped by Adidas during the 2014-15 season.

• Bidvest (South African food distributor) extended for 2014-15 as shirt sponsor of Sunderland AFC on 04/06/2014.
• Sunderland AFC partnered with the British company Thorn Lighting through the end of the 2015-16 season to renovate the stadium's lighting, they announced on 12/06/2014.
