LaLiga Santander: Instagram, Facebook and Twitter accounts of the 20 clubs (May 2021)

The 20 clubs in the 2020-21 LaLiga Santander have 539 million fans on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter, according to data compiled by News Tank Football on 01/05/2021. This total makes the Spanish first division the second most popular European Top 5 league on the three social networks combined, behind the Premier League, with an average of nearly 27 million fans per club.

Real Madrid CF are the most popular Spanish club with nearly 245 million fans, while FC Barcelona, second, with a total of 236 million, are ahead of Club Atlético de Madrid in third place with 29.8 million.

Real Madrid posted the best growth in absolute value across the three social networks during the month of April 2021 with a total of 1.5 million additional fans, including 68% (1.04 million followers) on Instagram alone. No other club from one of the European Top 5 leagues acquired as many fans during the same period.
