Sky Bet League One/Ipswich Town FC: English singer Ed Sheeran, main shirt sponsor in 2021-22

Ed Sheeran is to become the main shirt sponsor of Ipswich Town FC (Sky Bet League One) from 2021-22, announced the English singer and the club based in Suffolk, north-east London (ENG) on 06/05/2021.

The agreement covers the English third division club's senior men's and women's teams. The logo that will adorn Ipswich Town FC's shirts in 2020-21 will be "+-=÷x Tour", representing the English singer's albums ("+" in 2011, "x" in 2014, "÷" in 2017 and - to be released). According to the club pre-orders for the new 2021-22 shirts "are expected to start from early June."

"The club is a big part of the community and this is my way of showing my support. With the new owners from the US coming in (Gamechanger 20 Ltd, via a £40m/€46.1m investment in April 2021), there are sure to be exciting times ahead for Ipswich fans, including myself," said Ed Sheeran who has nearly 52 million followers on Facebook and Instagram.
