Bundesliga: Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts of the 18 clubs (May 2021)

The 18 clubs competing in the 2020-21 Bundesliga season have more than 143 million fans on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, according to data collected by News Tank Football on 01/05/2021. The Bundesliga is the fourth most popular Top 5 league on these three social networks combined, behind the Premier League, LaLiga Santander and the Serie A TIM, with an average of nearly 8 million fans per club.

FC Bayern Munich is the most-popular German club with over 84 million fans, far ahead of Borussia Dortmund with 31.8 million. FC Schalke 04 complete the Bundesliga podium with nearly 4.7 million fans.

Bayern Munich posted the best growth in absolute value on each of the three social networks with 1.1 million additional fans in total, 66% (+723,223 followers) of which were on Instagram alone.

RB Leipzig posted the best percentage growth among the Bundesliga clubs in April 2021 on Instagram (+2.2%) and Facebook (+1.5%), while Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund posted the best growth on Twitter (+1.2% each).
