Premier League: partnership with Oracle to provide innovative statistics during match broadcasts

Oracle, an American company specialised in cloud computing solutions, has become the official cloud partner of the Premier League and "will present advanced player-performance data and statistics during global broadcast coverage, and across the Premier League’s social channels" from the 2021-22 season, announced the body on 06/05/2021.

"Machine learning models will be developed to generate immediate results based on live data streams, real-time tracking data and facts collected on each of the League’s players and from thousands of past matches. Fans will be able to access a range of match information instantly, whether they are watching from home or checking scores on their mobile devices," said the Premier League. Oracle will analyze the teams formations as well as the probabilities of victory and goal (see below).
