Super League: 9 of the 12 founding clubs admit mistake and apologise, UEFA welcomes the gesture

Nine of the 12 clubs behind the European Super League project presented on 18/04/2021 "acknowledge and accept that the Super League project was a mistake and apologise to fans, national associations, national leagues, fellow European clubs and UEFA. They have also recognised that the project would not have been authorised under UEFA Statutes and Regulations," announced the European body on 07/05/2021.

Among the nine clubs who, "in a spirit of reconciliation, and for the good of European football, submitted to UEFA a 'Club Commitment Declaration' setting out the position of the clubs, including their commitment to UEFA Club Competitions as well as national club competitions", were six English clubs involved in the Super League project: 
• Arsenal FC
• Chelsea FC
• Liverpool FC
• Manchester City FC
• Manchester United FC
• Tottenham Hotspur FC

Two Italian clubs:
• AC Milan
• FC Inter Milan

And one Spanish club:
• Club Atlético de Madrid
