2020-21 Premier League: Manchester City FC claim their seventh league title

Manchester City FC have been crowned the 2020-21 Premier League champions after Manchester United FC lost 1-2 at home to Leicester City FC on Matchday 35 of the Premier League on Tuesday 11/05/2021. The Manchester club has 80 points with three games left in the season, 10 more than second-placed Manchester United (70 points), who are no longer able to catch up.

This is Manchester City's seventh English league title after those in the 1936-37, 1967-68, 2011-12, 2013-14, 2017-18 and 2018-19 seasons. It is the fifth time the club has won the Premier League since being bought by Abu Dhabi United Group for Development and Investment in 2008.

With seven English league titles, Manchester City is the fifth most successful club in England. The four clubs ahead of them are Manchester United FC (20 top flight titles), Liverpool FC (19), Arsenal FC (13) and Everton FC (9). Aston Villa FC have also won the English league seven times.
