Premier League: Manchester City to open football school in Cairo (Egypt) the club's first in Africa

"Manchester City FC (Premier League) and real estate company IMKAN Misr have teamed up to launch the first Manchester City Football School in Egypt," announced the club on 13/05/2021. This is Manchester City's first football school on the African continent.

"The school, based within the Alburouj development (a real estate project developed by Imkan Misr) in East Cairo, will provide authentic and creative football coaching programs for players aged between 5-16, utilising the coaching philosophy and methodology of Manchester City. The launch of the school will include a summer camp that will be held between June 2021 and August 2021, with the official opening of the club taking place in October 2021," said the Manchester club.
