Borussia Mönchengladbach: Sonepar (electrical equipment) extends as sleeve sponsor from 2021-22

Sonepar, a French group specialised in the distribution of electrical equipment, has extended as a sleeve sponsor and innovation partner of Borussia Mönchengladbach (Bundesliga) from the 2021-22 season, announced the club on 17/05/2021.

Sonepar will continue to benefit from the status of co-sponsor, the second level in the German club's sponsorship hierarchy. The agreement is reportedly worth €2.5m per year, according to German media.

"Sonepar and Borussia have had a close, trusting relationship for almost ten years now. Sonepar have sponsored Borussia Park (59,724 capacity) boxes since 2012, before becoming an innovation partner in 2019. Over the last year, the Sonepar logo has also appeared as the sleeve sponsor on the Foals' (nickname of the club) shirts. Our co-operation has grown over the years. That has been aided by the fact that Sonepar share many of Borussia's values: both are really ambitious, humble and well-natured," explained Guido Uhle, director of sponsorship at Borussia Mönchengladbach.
