Bundesliga: FC Bayern Munich reaffirms its commitment against homophobia and discrimination

"FC Bayern Munich (Bundesliga) is once again making it clear on International Day against Homophobia that the club stands for tolerant coexistence and that there is no place in its world view for exclusion, discrimination, hatred and violence of any kind," said the club on 17/05/2021.

"FC Bayern has a clear stance on homosexuality, which is that nobody should have to hide because of their sexual orientation. Everyone finds a home at FC Bayern, a protective environment, and can be sure of the solidarity of our club. Tolerance and diversity are essential components of how FC Bayern sees itself," said Herbert Hainer, president of the Bavarian club.

"FC Bayern stands as a cosmopolitan, tolerant club against discrimination and exclusion of any kind. We want and demand a tolerant approach in our society, in line with our basic understanding of diversity," added Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, CEO of the club that is already engaged in the fight against racism and discrimination (see below).
