Parma Calcio 1913: sale of "Black Lives Matter" shirts for the benefit of charitable organisations

On the occasion of their match versus US Sassuolo Calcio (1-3, Matchday 37 of the Serie A TIM, Sunday 16/05/2021), Parma Calcio 1913 players wore special shirts dedicated to the Black Lives Matter movement and the fight against discrimination, which were put on sale on 14/05/2021. "All proceeds from the initiative will be donated to one of the intercultural and solidarity projects run by the CIAC, Centro Immigrazione Asilo e Cooperazione Onlus (Centre for Immigration, Asylum and International Cooperation), in Parma, as well as the Lilian Thuram Foundation," announced the club the same day.

"Through this special jersey, the desire is to demonstrate the importance of equality, unity and brotherhood, as we all try to build a world in which every life has the same value, without discrimination. The special shirt has 'tone on tone' colour, with reduced visibility compared to the jerseys usually worn on the pitch.
